In 1989, working from their small Deli in Surrey, Jean and Tony Phillips, became more aware of the vast numbers of American and Canadian Families moving into the area, and their desire for the taste of home.
From dozens of requests they introduced a handful of the most demanded items, but it was not long before the word got around and they were swamped with orders.
One year later they made the decision to give up the deli and concentrate wholly on importing quality branded USA Food and Drink Products.
In 1998 SKYCO went on line and launched their unique Food Club. As a result of the dramatic increase in membership, both in the UK and Europe, the number of requested US Products rose to over 300 items.
SKYCO moved to larger premises in 2009 and in 2010 changed its name to SKYCO Ltd. At the same time, Jean & Tony's daughter, Justine Howell, joined them as a Director. Justine has brought fresh ideas securing the future of SKYCO for the next generation.
SKYCO's aim is to maintain continued low prices and to meet the changing requirements of its customers, and welcomes comments regarding the product range it offers and services it provides. New products are recommended by our members and if they prove popular they are added to SKYCO's evergrowing Food & Drink Website which now includes over 500 items.
The membership fee is currently £10 (renewable annually). This entitles you to a 10% discount and free delivery (or reduced price delivery service depending on postal code) for orders of £50 or more.
