Peanut Butter Blossoms
½ cup Crisco Butter Flavour shortening
½ cup Jif Creamy Peanut Butter
½ cup firmly packed brown sugar
¾ cup sugar
1 large egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. vanilla extract
1 ¾ cup Gold Medal All Purpose flour
1 tsp. Arm n Hammer baking soda
1 tsp. Salt
10oz Hershey Kisses
HEAT oven to 375of. Beat shortening, peanut butter, brown sugar and ½ cup sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until creamy. Beat in egg, milk and vanilla.
STIR together flour, baking soda, salt. Add gradually to creamed mixture, beating on low speed until blended.
SHAPE into 1 inch balls. Roll in remaining ½ cup of sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 10 – 12 minutes or until golden brown.
TOP each cookie immediately with an Hershey Kiss, pressing firmly so that cookie cracks around edge. Remove cookie to wire rack to cool completely.
